I made some Cheviot fleece rugs and thought I would see how well they held dye. Cheviot fleece is lovely and soft and because it doesn’t have a very long staple length, it is ideal for fleece cushions and rugs. I put the rug into a dye mix in a black bin bag and left it out in the sun to see what would happen, I love the way the dye is so dense and made the backing purple too. Purple is my favourite colour.

I made some Cheviot fleece rugs and thought I would see how well they held dye. Cheviot fleece is lovely and soft and because it doesn’t have a very long staple length, it is ideal for fleece cushions and rugs. I put the rug into a dye mix in a black bin bag and left it out in the sun to see what would happen, I love the way the dye caught more on the tips and left the deeper parts of the fleece cream.

This cushion cover has a turquoise dyed front and a cream crochet back, the cushion has an envelope neck which is kept closed with popper. Inside is a polyester cushion pad.
